Brief

A commercial gallery of three white-cube rooms with monthly exhibitions of painting, photography and small sculpture. The gallery needed accurate colour and a system the technicians could re-aim in a day.

Solution

Three-circuit track at 1.2 m from the walls carries COB track spotlights with Ra 98 sources at 3000 K. Narrow 15° beams accent sculpture on plinths; 24° and 36° beams light canvases. Each circuit dims separately so light-sensitive works can be held at lower levels.

Result

Re-lighting a room for a new show now takes a single day with a ladder and an aiming list.
