Description
Overview
The Solara HD is a fixed recessed downlight engineered for high-colour-fidelity ambient lighting. Its 90° wide-flood distribution makes it well-suited to retail, hospitality, office, and residential interiors where even horizontal illuminance and accurate colour rendering are the primary requirements.
Optical and Mechanical Construction
The optical assembly combines a high-density chip-on-board LED array with a formed reflector available in white, black, gunmetal, or bright-silver finishes. The fixed geometry keeps installation straightforward and eliminates pointing error. The one-piece die-cast aluminium body integrates heat-path and housing into a single component, reducing thermal resistance between the LED board and the ambient.
Electrical
An isolated driver rated 85–265 V AC covers all standard single-phase supplies without re-specification. Power factor is 0.6. Three CCTs — 3000 K, 4000 K, and 6000 K — are available across the range, allowing a project to hold a consistent correlated colour temperature.
Applications
General ambient lighting in corridors, lobbies, and open-plan offices; accent-wash layers in retail and hospitality; residential ceiling fields where aperture size is dictated by ceiling depth.
