Description
Overview
The Meridian 85 is a recessed spotlight for projects where colour fidelity and optical precision are non-negotiable. Its high-CRI COB chip — rated above Ra95 with R9 exceeding 90 — renders saturated hues and skin tones accurately, making it suited to retail, gallery, and hospitality interiors where standard Ra80 sources fall short.
Optical and Mechanical Construction
The die-cast aluminium housing doubles as the heat sink, finished in iron-grey to manage junction temperatures over long service hours. The white aperture ring keeps the ceiling plane clean. Four beam options — 10°, 15°, 24°, and 36° — are realised through either a precision lens or a reflector cup, giving specifiers discrete control over the spread without changing the fixture body. Colour consistency is held to less than 5 SDCM, ensuring perceptible uniformity across multi-fixture installations.
Control and Power
The isolated driver accepts a wide AC 86–265 V input with a power factor above 0.9. The default operating mode is single-colour constant illumination; 0–10 V, phase-cut (triac) dimming, and DALI are available as factory options.
