Senso 90 Surface Spotlight

Overview

Senso 90 is a surface-mounted spotlight designed for spaces where automatic occupancy control is built directly into the luminaire rather than managed by a separate wall sensor or building-management relay. The fixture combines a Bridgelux COB source with a passive infrared body sensor and a photocell in a single die-cast aluminium cylinder, reducing installation complexity in corridors, store rooms, and service areas.

Optical and Mechanical Construction

The 24° fixed beam is suited to accent and task lighting at moderate mounting heights. The die-cast aluminium housing integrates the PIR detector and the daylight sensor without external add-ons or visible sensor pods. A white trim ring finishes the face. The driver accepts the full 85–265 V AC range through an isolated topology, making it compatible with most single-phase supplies worldwide.

Sensor Behaviour

The daylight sensor suppresses operation whenever ambient illuminance exceeds 6 lux, so the lamp remains off during daylight hours or in already-lit spaces. When the room darkens below that threshold, the PIR becomes active: a person entering the detection zone within 3–4 metres triggers immediate lamp-on; the lamp extinguishes automatically 40 seconds after the last detected movement.
